The Tay estuary is a popular sailing destination. Boat clubs in Newburgh, Wormit and Tayport hold regular events and welcome visitors. The inner Tay estuary can be cruised for most of its length towards Perth, and visiting craft can find moorings in Tayport harbour, a sheltered marina with around 100 berth.
