The Berwick family moved into Barbarafield in 1871 and 4 generations later Christine Berwick opened the Riding School in 1956 with family ponies Rosie, Petronella, Lindora and Diamond. The farm is located near Cupar in North East Fife, 15 minites from StAndrews. We offer everything from a 20 miniute intro to riding session to a 3 hour experienced hack, with kids half day or full day “pony experiences” during the holidays and lessons during term time. Our very popular 1 hour farmland rides go out daily throughout the year. We are open Tuesday- Sunday throughout the year.

Instruction is given as and when required by qualified instructors. For the little ones, we have a 20 min intro or a half-hour instructional hack which is a great start to horse riding. Once the trotting is mastered we move them on to the hour hacks.
